In the second session of a day-long workshop titled “Understanding and Eliminating Bias in HSR Methods: Approaches to Anti-racist Research Design, Analysis, and Dissemination,” Ninez A. Ponce, Ph.D., M.P.P., presents Pathways to Representation and Visibility: Equity and Efficiency in Data Systems. She draws on her leadership of numerus pioneering efforts in multicultural survey research including measures of racial/ethnic identity, acculturation, generational status, and discrimination. Sociologist and demographer Juanita J. Chinn, Ph.D., serves as reactor drawing from her expertise in racial, ethnic, and nativity disparities in health, morbidity, and mortality; data policy; social demography; acculturation and assimilation; and the social determinants of health.
